Northumberland Park Community School's blog
The student council decided last Tuesday that this school does not know much about Kenya so they maybe embrassed when discussing the country through their lack of knowledge. They therefore decided to select a Year 8 class to prepare a series of 2 minute bulletins about the country (under items such as climate, people, major cities etc) that could be recorded and used to teach the council after their meetings. The first bulletin is in two weeks time is about languages in the country.
Our school has also become an arts college recently!
Our School grounds! Although there is very little grass in the school, we do have excellent sports facilities. Behind the wall is White Hart Lane football ground where the premiership side Tottenham Hotspurs play.
Two of our members of the Year 8 Student Council. The boy on the left is Issachar and the girl on the right is Shani-Que Barrett. Shani-Que is also one of the heads of the council who this year are trying to make the school more green with a recycling scheme, a conservation area and a green house all planned to be achieved this year.
Some of our Year 7s enjoying a Science Class
Now that it is 2008, we thought it would be a very good time to start to show some of the media that the Year 8 student council are producing to advertise our school. In the next few days we will begin to upload our favourite photographs of the school...
