- Freetown Secondary School for Girls, commonly called FSSG, is a single sex school in Freeown. It was founded on the 20h January 1926. the first principal was an english lady, Mrs.Maise Osora who handed the principalship to Mrs. Hannah ransolina Benka-Coker the first African principal of the school. Currently, the school operates on two shifts: the morning school and the afternoon school. The Junior School meets in the morning whiles the Senior school meets in the afternoon. It is however important to note that both shifts have seperate principals; Miss. Florence Iyamide Davies, the principal of the Junior school and Mrs. Elvira Bobson- Kamara the principal of the senior school. The school uniform is a blue tunic with white shirt underneath. A blue belt is alo tied around the hip. The school accomodates pupils from all religious backgrounds
